“He doesn't really hunt bass, y'know...”

Name: Jonas Altberg

From: Halmstad, Sweden

Biggest Hit (so far): 'Now You're Gone' (No.1)

Best Quote: "I only called myself Basshunter because the name Asshunter was already taken." Ain't he a peach?

Unique Selling Point: He’s a total party animal, dedicated to forcing people to have a brilliant time while he plays records. The videos for his songs ‘Now You’re Gone’ and ‘All I Ever Wanted’ tell the story of a couple who get together and then break up while dancing to his music. That’s how potent he is!

Most interesting fact: Jonas is an advocate for people who have Tourette's syndrome, and has counselled people who have it on ways they can overcome it. He is very dedicated to this cause, in a way which totally undermines his wild-man image. This did not stop the Sun from calling him 'nutty' when they covered this story, of course.

Least interesting fact: Well, it's perhaps not the least interesting, but certainly the least appealing. Jonas has quite a relaxed attitude towards the human body, shall we say. And there are definitely photographs on the internet which prove this. But you are advised not to seek these out. No, seriously, DON’T LOOK!
