The Dream Team! We sent 10 of the most talented, skillful and good looking people we could find in the BBC Radio Stoke building at the time to take part in the 2004 Sport Relief Charity Football Tournament in Preston. We didn't win but we all had a great laugh and raised some money at the same time! Click here to read more and see the photos! |

On July 10, a series of mile events took place simultaneously around the country, including venues in this region, as Sport Relief aimed to break the world record for mass participation in a single event.
Freestyle... or time trial
After registering for the event, Milers received a single red sock which they must wear on the day.
Once the event was completed, those taking part were presented with the matching sock to complete the pair.
Fourteen of the biggest UK events, one in each of the BBC regions, featured celebrity running mates, as part of a five-hour live show on BBC One to celebrate a fantastic day of Sport Relief.
Half the cash raised goes to help tackle poverty and disadvantage in the UK, while the other half helps beat poverty and exploitation overseas.
