Jordan Moult, is seven and is autistic. He goes to the same mainstream school as his five-year-old sister Lauren and he gets learning support there and therapy sessions at home.
His mum Mariella - who's married to Darren - says most daily activities at their Birches Head home turn into a battle with Darren. He can dress himself, but only after up to an hour of persuasion and scolding. Getting Jordan to sit at the table and eat his breakfast is another daily challenge for Mariella.
But she says it's not all doom and gloom. Jordan makes her and Darren laugh when he goes playing in the garden, pulling up all the plants. He also absolutely loves being tickled.
Future? Jordan's autism developed when he was two-years-old. Mariella and Darren say their biggest fear is what the future may bring. He can be difficult to handle and will only get bigger and stronger.
They say they're aware of horror stories about people's experiences in care. For now, it's just a case of taking each day as it comes.
