| | On the 8th May 2004, the Caudwell Charitable Trust will hold its fourth annual ball.
This is a Staffordshire A-List event, drawing together the 'creme de la creme' of the showbiz world - all in the name of charity.
Royal beauty Zara Phillips and her jockey boyfriend Richard Johnson were the main attraction at last year's ball, and a whole host of high profile names, from footballers to soap stars, are expected to tread the red carpet this time around. [Click here to see last year's event]
Caudwell Trust The Caudwell Trust is the brainchild of John Caudwell - the Stoke-on-Trent millionaire who made his fortune in mobile phones.
The Trust helps abused and terminally ill children with medical equipment, dying-wish holidays and specialist therapies and treatments.
It hopes to achieve the target of £1 million on the night and though this may seem like a bit of a tall order, they're well on the way.
Star-studded Musical entertainment will be laid on for those lucky enough to get their hands on tickets.
The line up will include the sweet and sexy sounds of the aptly named Sugababes, whose critically acclaimed album of sassy pop has won a host of admirers.
 | BRIT award winner Lemar (pictured right) brings his smooth soul and urban cool to the evening's entertainment.
This Fame Academy student is certain to set female pulses racing on the dancefloor with his funky moves.
The diverse musical line-up is completed by 'Sixties chick' Lulu and Acker Bilk.
Auction As well as selling tickets for the evening's entertainment, the charity also raises money by auctioning off some exclusive celebrity items to the guests.
Previous years have seen Beckham's footy boots, Liz Hurley's shoes and BAFTA tickets go under the hammer, and the organisers are promising similarly impressive lots this year.
Plush Guests present at Staffordshire's largest and most exclusive bash this year will also get to experience the grand surroundings at John Caudwell's private estate in Staffordshire.
A magnificent marquee in the lush grounds of the stately home will host this evening of glamour and sophistication. The marquee itself takes a month to erect, and the thousands of lights make it a stunning sight when completed.
Eternal Flame The theme for the event is The Eternal Flame which draws its idea from Athens, home to the Olympic Games this year.
This really is one of Staffordshire's biggest social events in the celebrity calendar.
But there's no need to worry, if you don't get the chance to sip champagne and hobnob with the stars, check out our site for a full rundown (with all the gossip!) after the event.
