| | The competition is called the GEM (Gospel Entertainment Music) awards, and the aim is to find the best undiscovered new Gospel music talent. Youll have no Simon Cowell to contend with, but you will face the public vote.
Contestants need to send a CD, or home video, to enter.
Lots of people in Staffordshire have already sent in tapes and videos of themselves singing their hearts out, so why not join them and enter too? Gospel is .. hip! Gospel music, where concert halls and church choir stalls swap!, is hip and happening at the moment, especially as it is being influenced by genres such as Rock, Indie, Reggae and R&B.
Think about it. Many of the Pop Idol and Fame Academy finalists started out as gospel singers. So if youve never listed to gospel, give it a go!

Gospel really does appeal to people of all ages, from different backgrounds and walks of life. Enter the competition, you never know you could be Christianitys answer to Will Young!
