Noel Baxter and Chemmy Alcott both retained their giant slalom titles at the British Championships at Meribel. Scotsman Baxter lost a ski stick on both runs, but still finished 1.73 seconds ahead of Londoner Daniel Berry. Baxter's brother Alain took fourth.
Berry, 19, leads the overall standings after reigning champion Finlay Mickel crashed out on his first run in France.
The women's result mirrored last year's, with Alcott 5.15 seconds clear of Mel Piper and Katrina Head.
Noel Baxter said he was pleased with the way the Du Corbey piste had been laid out.
"They did a decent job on the piste and the courses were different," he said.
" I knew I had it in the tank and so I was pretty relaxed and confident throughout. I was skiing well and confidently in GS in Argentina in the summer and I have that feeling back."
Despite her victory Alcott said she struggled to produce her best form.
"I still never ski my best at the British," she said. "There are always nerves. People always expect me to come here and just walk it but it is just not like that."
