Sheffield Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock has signed striker Leon Best on a month's loan from Southampton. Best, 18, is available for Owls Championship opener against Stoke, but will not be able to face Saints at Hillsborough on August 13.
Wednesday have a striking crisis with Steven MacLean, Drew Talbot and Barry Corr all out injured.
Sturrock said: "I know all about Leon from my time managing Saints, he's an exciting prospect."
