    And breathe.

There's plenty of reaction to the latest chapter in Arthur's Fery-tale still to come, starting with the man himself.

Only three players have EVER - again in the Open era - reached a men's singles Grand Slam semi-final as a wildcard.

    Well, four now.

    • Jimmy Connors (1991 US Open)
    • Henri Leconte (1992 French Open)
    • Goran Ivanisevic (2001 Wimbledon)
    • Arthur Fery (2026 Wimbledon)

And these were all superstars coming towards the end of their careers. Arthur Fery has done it as an unheralded 23-year-old.

The last time it happened, he wasn't even born!

And now the question is - can he emulate Ivanisevic by going on to win it all??

  4. British players to reach Wimbledon semispublished at 17:44 BST

    Fery 6-4 7-6 (7-4) 6-0 Cobolli

Right, we really need to put this into context.

Here is the list of British players - EVER - to reach a Wimbledon men's singles semi-final in the Open era (so, going back 60-odd years).

This doesn't really happen very often... but for a wildcard? An almost-unheard of? He's doing almost unheard-of things that's for sure.

    • Andy Murray (7)
    • Tim Henman (4)
    • Roger Taylor (2)
    • Cameron Norrie (1)
    • Arthur Fery (1)

The list of Brits reaching a final is even smaller of course.... but let's not look too far ahead, eh?

Energy levels of Fery are incredible, maybe a once in a lifetime moment fuelled by adrenaline but he’s a pocket rocket!

Arthur's life will change now, direct entries not only into the US Open but also into the Masters 1000 events, who knows where in the rankings he will end up come the end of the year. The Fery has arrived with all horns blazing... what a thing!!

    Nicholas, Birmingham

How have we not heard of this guy before? His athleticism and stroke play is way better than somebody ranks that low!

  7. Zverev ends terrible run against Fritzpublished at 17:37 BST

    Fritz 4-6 4-6 2-6 Zverev

Away from Arthur Fery's history-making run continuing on Centre Court, over on Court One, nobody expected it to be that straightforward for Alexander Zverev, who has secured his first ever Wimbledon semi-final and done it in straight sets.

The French Open champion also ends a rotten run against Taylor Fritz. He had lost their previous seven meetings.

And it was all wrapped up in just under two hours.

Fritz appeared hampered by a knee injury but he couldn't compete with Zverev's brilliance today.
