Sophie McQueen has signed a new contract to stay at Gloucester-Hartpury.
The 21-year-old back row was appointed as England Under-21 captain earlier this year as they finished third in the Women's U21 Six Nations Series.
"This club has played such a huge role in my development, from coming through the Hartpury pathway to making my Premiership debut, so it feels like the perfect place to continue pushing myself," McQueen told the club website., external
"Captaining England Under-21s this season has been an incredible honour and has given me so much confidence as both a player and a leader."
Gloucester-Hartpury's head of rugby Dan Murphy added: "Sophie has an outstanding work ethic, is incredibly athletic and brings real physicality to our pack.
"Sophie's leadership has continued to grow, and captaining England Under-21s this year is recognition of the character and standards she brings every day."
The length of McQueen's contract is undisclosed.
