Sale's top try-scorer Tom O'Flaherty has signed a one-year contract extension with the Sharks.
The prolific wing, 31, has been rewarded for a fine individual season in what has been a challenging campaign for the team, after scoring 12 Prem tries and 17 in all this season.
"Tom has consistently been one of our top performers, both in terms of his work rate and his quality, since he joined the club, but this season he's gone to another level," Sale director of rugby Alex Sanderson told the club website, external.
"He scores a lot of tries and does everything you want from a winger, but more importantly I love how he energises the group, often in the really difficult moments.
"Tom is a really important part of the group – on and off the field – and we're all really pleased that he's staying."
O'Flaherty joined Sale from Exeter four seasons ago and has gone on to make 85 appearances for the club.
