London Broncos completed a second-tier treble by thrashing Doncaster in the Championship Grand Final.

They had cruised to the League Leaders' Shield with a record of 23 wins and just one defeat from their 24 games.

That record, plus two comfortable play-off wins - including one over Doncaster - helped earn Broncos home advantage for the final at Cherry Red Records Stadium.

And they reinforced their dominance in a one-sided showpiece by running in 14 tries against their outmatched opponents.

James Meadows scored two of their seven first half tries, while Neil Tchamambe, Elliot Wallis and Brandon Webster-Mansfield also claimed doubles in the rout.

It was the biggest winning margin in a Championship Grand Final, beating the 36-point mark set by Featherstone in 2011 and Wakefield in 2024.

Broncos also lifted the 1895 Cup - the annual knockout competition for second-tier sides - by beating Widnes Vikings 32-10 in the final in August.

They had already beaten Doncaster, who finished the regular season fourth in the table, four times this season in league and cup meetings.

Winning the Championship is not automatically rewarded with promotion, however, since the rules around Super League eligibility were changed.

Admission to the top flight is instead decided by club gradings based on a combination of on-field and off-field criteria.

Former Super League side Broncos did apply for a top-flight spot for 2026, but their bid was unsuccessful as York and Toulouse were awarded the two places available.
