Thierry Henry on winning the Uefa President's Award: "Bad. First pain, I was at home in Paris. I didn't grow up far from the stadium. It was very difficult. We had a good run. Young team, we had a lot of players injured that season. It was a tough one. It's always something that's going to haunt me. I am an Arsenal fan and I couldn't deliver it to the team I support.

"Then you go back to what life is, you battle, you never give up, you try and get better, and that's what happened in 2009. We went and won everything.

Thierry Henry is discussing the "pain" of losing the 2006 Champions League final with Arsenal.

"It is the story of life," Henry said about coming back and winning the competition for Barcelona in 2009.

Time for another award now - the Uefa President's Award.

This is handed out every year and previous winners include Bobby Robson, Johan Cruyff, David Beckham and Didier Drogba.

"I have selected Thierry Henry," Ceferin says of this year's winner.

Henry is in Monaco to accept the award.

PSG captain Marquinhos - via a video message - on winning the Uefa Respect Beyond the Game Award after consoling Arsenal's Gabriel when he missed the decisive penalty in the Champions League final: "I would like to thank you for this trophy. It makes me really happy. Fair play is an essential part of both football and daily life and I will keep being respectful this year towards my team-mates, my opponents, the referees and everyone else who is involved in the game, in football.

"I'm very happy and honoured to be given this trophy."

Marquinhos is not here to accept the award, but he has recorded a video message.

Before we get going, Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin joins them to give details of a new award - The Respect Beyond the Game award.

"We wanted to create a new award that we give to the player that did something extraordinary on the field," he says.

Broadcaster Reshmin Chowdhury is hosting the event alongside Pedro Pinto.

They are on stage to announce the winner of the first award.

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United will learn their Champions League opponents today.

There are five Premier League teams in the draw, along with five teams from La Liga.

That is because both leagues earned European Performance Spots, awarded to the two associations with the best collective performance across the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

By finishing fifth in their respective leagues, Liverpool and Real Betis were the two teams to benefit.

It's not long until the Champions League draw gets under way in Monaco.

The 36 teams who qualified are split into four pots based on their individual Uefa club coefficient ranking.

Starting with pot one, each team will be drawn out individually. They will then be selected eight opponents via Uefa's automated software.

Paris St-Germain, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Manchester City, Arsenal, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are all in pot one.

A team will play eight games in total, including two teams from each pot - one home and one away.

The English teams cannot play against another English team in the league phase.

No group stage fixtures can be played against teams from the same country, or play more than two matches against teams from the another country.

This procedure will continue until the fixtures for all 36 teams have been decided.

Paris St-Germain underlined their status as one of European football's greatest ever teams by becoming only the second club to retain the Champions League.

By beating Arsenal, they became the first side to successfully defend their title since Real Madrid's three-peat from 2016 to 2018, and only the second to do it in the Champions League era - 1993 onwards.

Indeed, across the competition's 71-year history PSG are just the 10th club to win successive titles.

Is this their year again?

Just 89 days after Paris St-Germain beat Arsenal on penalties to win a second successive Champions League title, it's almost time to find out the league phase fixtures for 2026-27.
