It's time to bring this live text to an end.

What a WSL Sunday it's been - we've seen six games, 27 goals as Man City sit at the top of the table heading into the international break.

We'll see you in four days for the first leg of England's World Cup qualifying match against Greece.

Make sure you catch up on the latest women's football news before then.

Bye for now.

Manchester City

Manchester City boss Andree Jeglertz: "After many games [we have] said how we were down and then we turned it around and that says something about the group, both the quality of the players but also the mentality and this is another example of that.

"We conceded a little bit too easy goals, I think. But at the same time, every time we attack, we are coming to their penalty box and creating things, so our attacking play is still very fluent. We score in different ways and that's what it's about

"But at the same time, we play against a good team today, Arsenal are good on the ball but we keep them away from our goal quite often and we definitely created more bigger chances."

On their squad depth: "You start with 11 players that you think are going to be able to get the good first 50/60 minutes and then we have the quality in the squad that we can make substitutions that are keeping the same level and even making the level even better because the players are tired.

"It has been like that for many games and it’s so important for this group that the ones coming in are coming in with energy that they want to be on the pitch, help the team, and have an impact.

"Just look at the substitutions. All of them are actually bringing things up and it becomes a game-changer."

Arsenal

Arsenal head coach Renee Slegers speaking after the defeat to Manchester City: "At the moment, not in the conversation for the title race. Everyone knew [that it was an important game today. It wasn't what we were saying explicitly; it was how do we do it and what is the mindset we want to have going into this game? Paris was hard for us, we came together and showed leadership. We started well in the second half, we were in the lead twice. I think with the energy they have and the changes, they had an immediate effect and that dominated the game.

"You wouldn't say defeat if you just look at the scoreline but it was. The last goal was a goal we conceded because we wanted to go forward and were taking risks. The other three goals we were not happy with conceding. But that is the critical moment in the game, we have to be a little bit better. The phases in the game we just have to be better because good teams punish. We do a lot of good things but at the end we don't get the result."

On what's next: "They're going to go away with the national teams, which is good for them. Recharge, reset and spend time with other people, change of environment and then come back with new energy which I think will be really good for them."

On her message to the players: "They shouldn't stop believing in themselves as individual players because they are really good football players."

Birmingham City

Birmingham defender Neve Herron: "It's frustrating. We didn't compete today, we weren't good enough and gifted them two goals really.

"We've performed well over this block of games we've had and it's disappointing not to be able to get a result today but we've got a bit of time before the next game so we rest and go again after the internationals.

"Ultimately, today we didn't compete well enough. We were second to everything and we gifted them two goals. Games come thick and fast in this league so we have to bounce back.

"We're frustrated not to have more points. Some games we've competed really well and deserved more points."

West Ham United

West Ham boss Rita Guarino: "The reflection is that I think we were very compact in the first half, we conceded a goal from our mistake. We tried to defended also in the second half but when you conceded chances to this kind of opponent it is normal with their quality that they finish well. 1-0 against Chelsea could be a good result to come back in the second half to try to do our best and get a point and defend some spaces but then they score again so then it's hard."

On not creating many chances: "We know we need to improve with how we retain the ball. When we win the ball we need to try to find the space. We will work on that but it is not easy to solve the problem in the next few weeks."

On the first block of games: "If we look at the performances I can say there is a lot of commitment from the players in every single game. We perform well and we need to work on some details that can change the games. Looking forward to work on the process and try to be better every single day."

Arsenal boss Renee Slegers has given a brief interview to Sky Sports about their situation before the international break: "It is really good the players can now go away. They will go to their national teams with new energy, a change of environment. Then they will have the next game to come back to."

On what can be done over the next two weeks: "There's lots, lots to review. We will look at all aspects, how we've been doing things, the training programme. There are bigger things in the background."

On if Arsenal are in the title race: "At the moment, we are not in the conversation, no."

Arsenal

Renee Slegers has just told Sky Sports that Arsenal are "at the moment, not in the conversation" for the title race.

Full quotes to follow.

Arsenal

Arsenal defender Lotte Wubben-Moy: "The fans were incredible today so anything I say, they don't want to hear it. It's a game of fine margins, a game of moments. They capitalised on the chances, they created the clear-cut chances that ultimately saw them the result today. It's with incredible disappointment that I am standing here knowing that the actions we put out on the pitch today weren't good enough.

"We fought for ourselves, we fought for Renee [Slegers], we fought for the fans and I think we can look at ourselves in the mirror and be like okay we weren't the better team today. Football is a crazy game. The two games that we have lost this season against Chelsea and Man City are stand alone results. I think it's put us in an unprecedented position being where we are in the table and it's up to us to get ourselves out of it."

Title race: "Regardless of the game that we go into as Arsenal football club, we want to win so Man City, Chelsea, any game that we play, that's the mindset going into it. We fought for ourselves today but the result didn't reflect that."

On sticking together: "It sounds cliche but there is the next game. There always is and always will be. We'll look at ourselves in the mirror but coming up now is the international break and we will use that time to reset."

Charlton Athletic

Charlton goalkeeper and captain Sophie Whitehouse: "It just wasn't good enough from us. Obviously against Manchester City last week we performed at our best, today it just wasn't our best.

"It's frustrating for it to go that way. We started really well, we scored early. I thought we had the momentum but obviously the goals change that. It was tough to get back into the game and obviously we switched off in the end.

"It will be good for us to have a reset moment. We've had a tough block with the games that we've had. We've had some hard games against hard opposition. So we'll take the international break, reset, and come back probably even stronger than we have performed.

"It's a tough league. The jump up is so big. We're realising that early. You can't make any mistakes otherwise teams capitalise. We're excited to be here and we're going to keep pushing. It's only the first block so we will come back stronger."

Like you say, it's so early. I just can't see Manchester City dropping that amount of points. This side are good, the fight they've got, the togetherness they've got. I think the manager is brilliant.

Yeah I do actually think they are out of the title race [Arsenal], it does seem stupid for me to say it so early. The pressure is certainly on for Slegers, I think it was on before this game.

You look at the players on the bench, there's so many good players who would get into any WSL sides. I looked at her body language at the end, she looks down. It was always going to be tough against Man City at home.

This is Arsenal's worst start to a WSL season since 2014.

Manchester City

Manchester City's Lauren Hemp, who scored twice: "It's massive for us. Obviously we've had a couple of draws recently which is not our standard and I thought we played really well today, we did well to come from behind a couple of times and obviously got the result in the end so credit to this team. I feel like we fought for every single ball, we are very passionate and obviously got the job done in the end which is great.

"It was very difficult, they're a good team. They played some good passes and obviously went forward. It’s important that we came back and I think that shows the character of our team, that no matter who we come up against, I feel like we'll give it our all and in the end we got the job done.

"I think for us it's about taking each game as it comes and obviously all go away for the international break and after that we'll come back together and hopefully carry on this start to the season."

Arsenal have lost after scoring the opening goal in the WSL for the first time since 4 February 2024 against West Ham (37 games without defeat).

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton's Olivia Garcia: "It's nice to finally see our good football translate into wins and the results we want. It was a great day today. Shout out to everyone on the team, the fans especially, no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon."

On who scored Brighton's fourth goal: "I'll have to look back or see. Whoever it was it was brilliant. We've been working on trying to get goals off set pieces so either way I'm glad to have contributed to the win."

On winning just before the international break: "It's good to finally see our good moments translate into results. It's a good way to put a pause on the season and it's a good little boost of confidence for the girls going into camp. We use this win to keep building and growing. We've got a good opponent, Manchester City, up next so we'll take away all the good stuff from this game and always keep going and learning."

Despite scoring four goals today, City finished the game with an xG of just 0.92, while Arsenal's was up at 1.59.

Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Keira Walsh: "I think it was massive, obviously we've had a really tough block and I think we felt as though if we didn't have a good performance or win this game we wouldn't have deemed it a good block."

On her goal: "I mean I should have had about three today to be fair but I think when Lexi plays she just gives me the freedom to go forward. I feel really confident and I'm just enjoying my football. I think that is the biggest part of it to be honest."

On West Ham being hard to break down: "It was just about trying to wear them down and break them down a little bit and I think in the second half we moved the ball a bit faster and was just trying to play a little bit quicker when we won the ball back. I think sometimes you've just got to wait for it to open up and take your chances and that's what we did today."

On the first block of games: "We've had a really good start. In the first game we should have scored more goals but off the back of that we have played some really good teams and I think we have been in good form. The team is fighting for each other and we're playing really well so hopefully that continues when we come back."

Man City sit top of the table after a brilliant five wins from five.

For Arsenal, though, it doesn't make for good viewing.

Stay tuned for all the reaction from this one but also from the games that took place earlier today.
