Ipswich midfielder Mendel joins Luton on loan

Luton Town have signed Ipswich Town midfielder Tudor Mendel on loan until January.

The 21-year-old began his career in Chelsea's youth programme before a spell in Belgian football playing for Anderlecht's second team.

He joined Ipswich in 2024 and made his senior debut as a substitute in last month's League Cup win over Leicester City.

Luton's manager Jack Wilshere said the club can extend Mendel's stay beyond January if it "goes well".
