Jersey Bulls Women earned back-to-back league wins for the first time this season as they beat Croydon 3-1 at Springfield.

The victory sees the island side leapfrog their opponents into sixth place in South East Counties Women's Football League Surrey Division One.

Bulls got off to a great start as Amy Guthrie's fourth-minute long-range effort went in after a goalkeeping error.

A minute later they were 2-0 up as Sam Silva-Pinto reacted well before finishing after Sofia Rodrigues' shot had hit the crossbar.

Croydon pulled a goal back 12 minutes after half-time, but the hosts made the game safe in the 87th minute thanks to Poppy Mapplebeck's excellent long-range effort.

It could have been 4-1 after Holly Sundby was fouled in the penalty area in stoppage time, but Natasha Keen dragged her penalty wide.
