Rotherham United have signed Manchester United youth product Sonny Aljofree following his release by the Premier League club this summer.
Able to fit in at centre-back or right-back, the 22-year-old has signed a two-year contract, with Rotherham holding an option for an extra year.
Aljofree won the FA Youth Cup with United in the 2021-22 season, but did not make a first-team appearance.
He gained experience in loan spells at Altrincham, Accrington Stanley and, last season, Notts County.
Aljofree, the son of former Plymouth Argyle player Hasney Aljofree, has been playing on trial for the Millers in pre-season.
