'Hopefully we can build points early' - excitement for club football's return

- Published

With pre-season officially in full swing, we asked you to tell us what you're looking forward to about club football returning.
Here are some of your replies:
David: I am looking forward to competing in the Premier League again. We played some terrific football. Harry Wilson is a terrific player and will fit right in at Leeds. MOT.
Jo: Excited for the 2026-27 campaign to start. Hopefully some thrilling and edge-of-your-seat games to be witnessed, plus numerous safe, mature games. Hopefully we can start to build points early and get the season off to a positive start.
Peter: Having a quality goalkeeper.
Binwah: The nerves before the first game of the season, getting to see the new players, new kit, meeting old mates in The Peacock. We all love Leeds.
Steve: We have to trust in the backers, the board and our manager - the track record for getting most things right demands it. I am looking forward to seeing what that means for our starting XI on the first day. So far, we seem to be improving the squad - with hopefully more to come. The rest of the season should then take care of itself!
