Burnley have signed French goalkeeper Gregoire Coudert from Ligue 1 side Brest for an undisclosed fee.

Coudert, 27, played 26 times for Brest last season as they finished 12th in Ligue 1 and has agreed a four-year contract with Burnley to become their sixth summer signing.

He started out at Tours and joined Amiens in 2019 before moving to Brest in 2021.

Coudert told the club website, external: "I'm really pleased to have joined Burnley and to be playing in England for the first time in my career.

"It's a great new chapter for me; I can't wait to get working with the team and I'm more than ready for this opportunity."

Coudert will challenge Max Weiss for the No 1 spot at Turf Moor. The German, who cost £4.3m from Karlsruhe last summer, has started the Clarets' first two games of the season.
