Torquay United have signed left-sided defender Tyler Hill for the upcoming National League South campaign.

The 20-year-old former Blackpool youngster spent last season at National League North side Spennymoor Town where he made 32 appearances.

He is the third new player to move to Plainmoor this week after Isaac Westendorf and Sean Robertson joined the club.

"We managed to go up against a League One club who were trying to sign Tyler," Torquay United manager Jimmy Ball told the club website., external

"He decided to come here and play football. I'm absolutely delighted by it."
