Barnsley sign midfielder Taylor and defender Smith

Barnsley have signed former Newcastle Jets midfielder Clayton Taylor and Manchester City defender Isaac Smith.

Taylor, 22, scored nine goals in 23 appearances in the Australian A-League last season and has signed a three-year contract.

Smith, 20, who has signed a two-year deal, spent the second half of last season on loan with the Tykes' academy side.
