Birmingham City have re-signed Brighton goalkeeper James Beadle on another season-long loan.

The England Under-21 international spent last season at Blues, making 38 appearances across all competitions as they finished 10th on their return to the Championship.

The move marks the 22-year-old's third consecutive full campaign in the second tier, having also enjoyed a season and a half with Sheffield Wednesday.

"When he [Beadle] earned his opportunity last season, he established himself and I thought his performances continued to improve as the campaign went on," manager Chris Davies told the club website., external

"He's still only 22 but already has significant Championship experience, and those experiences will only make him a better goalkeeper. Every season he has played at this level, he has continued to develop, and we're looking forward to helping him take the next step again this year."

Beadle is the second of Birmingham's loan players from last term to re-sign for the upcoming season following midfielder Jhon Solis, who joined the club permanently in June.
