Gillingham have appointed Steven Craig as their assistant manager.
The 45-year-old joins the League Two club from Scottish non-league side Gala Fairydean Rovers.
He played under Gills boss Gareth Ainsworth when he was in charge of Wycombe Wanderers, making 70 appearances between 2013 and 2015.
Craig spent most of his playing career with Scottish clubs including Falkirk, Motherwell, Aberdeen, Livingston, Dundee, Ross County and Partick Thistle.
"It came out of the blue," Craig told the club website.
"I got the call two or three weeks ago asking if I would be interested and it sort of snowballed from there.
"I can't wait to get started. The chance to go back full-time with the gaffer, Dobbo [technical director Richard Dobson] and Watesy [head of first-team development David Wates] was too good to turn down."
