Gbemi Arubi leaves Dundalk sitting fourth in the Irish Premier Division

Burton Albion have signed Dundalk forward Gbemi Arubi on a three-year deal, with the option of an additional year, for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has scored seven goals in 23 Irish Premier Division appearances in the 2025-26 season, helping earn him a Republic of Ireland Under-21s debut in their 2-2 draw with Croatia in June.

Though the move will be Arubi's first outside his home country, he has previously trained in England for a short spell with Lincoln City before joining up with Waterford in January 2024.

Arubi is Burton's fourth summer signing, following goalkeeper Corey Addai, forward Matthew Dennis and defender Curtis Tilt.
