Tranmere have signed left-back Jacob Slater on a two-year deal and midfielder Tom Conlon on a six-month contract.

Slater, 21, will join Rovers as a free agent on 1 July when his contract with Brighton expires.

He joined the Premier League side from Preston in August 2023 but never made a senior appearance for the Seagulls and spent last season on loan with Harrogate Town.

Conlon, 30, has not featured since suffering a knee injury while playing for Oldham in October last year and was released by them at the end of the season.

He previously played under Tranmere boss Darrell Clarke at Port Vale.
