Luton Town midfielder Liam Walsh has signed a new contract to stay at the League One club.

Walsh becomes the second Luton midfielder this week to extend his time at Kenilworth Road after Jordan Clark committed his future to the Hatters on Wednesday.

Walsh, 28, joined Luton from Swansea City in 2024 and was a mainstay for Jack Wilshere's side last season alongside Clark, making 40 appearances in all competitions.

"It's something I've wanted to do for a while. I had talks with the manager earlier on in the season and he knew how much I wanted to be at the club next year, " Walsh told Luton's website., external

Wilshere commented: "Walsh knew my thoughts on him and his contract early on, but what I love about him is that he just loves the game and didn't want to focus on that. He wanted to carry on playing, and playing well.

"We love him; not just me, all the coaches and it's so important. That's what we are trying to create here. We all felt from day one that everyone has been fully in and committed to what we want, none more than Walshy".

The club have not disclosed the exact length of Walsh's new contract.
