MK Dons have signed former Cardiff City midfielder Ryan Wintle on a free transfer on an undisclosed contract.
Wintle, 29, won Cardiff's player of the year award as the Bluebirds secured an immediate return to the Championship last season.
In May he announced he was leaving the Welsh club due to circumstances "completely out of my control".
"He has a real intent to his play and his athleticism allows him to cover the pitch really well," MK Dons boss Paul Warne told the club website., external
"When I met him, I was impressed by his honesty and desire to play the game and win.
"Our midfield is currently a strong department, but we must keep improving the team and squad wherever possible."
Prior to joining Cardiff in 2021, Wintle spent six seasons with Crewe Alexandra.
Wintle is MK Dons' fourth signing of the season following their promotion to League One.
