Adan Premier champions Wrexham Women have announced the signing of Welsh goalkeeper Lucy Farrell.

The 22-year-old, who spent last season with English third-tier side Stoke City, was part of the Wales squad for April's Women's World Cup qualifying double-header against Albania.

Llantristant-born Farrell spent time in the academies at Manchester United and Manchester City as a youngster and has also represented Burnley, Halifax and Stockport.

"It was an amazing experience to be part of the Wales senior squad and something that I'm very proud of," Farrell said.

"It would be amazing to receive another call-up and I think it would be a great thing for Wrexham too. I'm really excited to be joining such a big club."

Farrell joins a Wrexham squad preparing for the Champions League first qualifying round, where they will face Pryunik of Armenia on 22 July.
