Arsene Wenger's Premier League history - a timeline of Frenchman's reign

In October 1996, Wenger becomes manager. In 1997, Tony Blair is elected Prime Minister and Marcus Rashford is born. Arsenal win the league and cup double in 1998. They then win the Charity Shield. Thierry Henry signs in 1999 and Arsenal win the Charity Shield. In 2002 Arsenal win the league and FA Cup. They win the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2002-03. Arsenal are league champions in 2003-04. Facebook is launched in 2004. Arsenal win the league and Community Shield in 2004-05. They lose to Barcelona in the Champions League final in 2006. In 2007 the first iPhone is released and Gordon Brown is appointed PM. David Cameron is elected PM in 2010. In 2013 Sir Alex Ferguson leaves Man Utd followed by Wenger's 1,000th game in 2014, the year his side win the FA Cup. They then win the FA Cup in 2015 followed by the Community Shield. They win that again in 2016, the same year Theresa May is appointed PM. Arsenal win the FA Cup in 2017 but finish the season below Spurs.Image source, BBC Sport
