Northants Steelbacks batsman Chris Lynn has put his superb form at the start of the T20 Blast campaign down to an excellent relationship with his coach and fellow Australian Darren Lehmann.
After Lynn scored 69 on Friday in the Steelbacks' seven-wicket victory against Gloucestershire, the 36-year-old opener crashed 115 not out off just 59 deliveries to help guide the Steelbacks to a six-wicket win over Warwickshire Bears at Edgbaston.
Lynn's destructive knock - which included five sixes and 13 fours - helped see the Steelbacks reach the target set by Warwickshire of 209 with four deliveries still remaining.
The Steelbacks therefore maintained their 100% record at the start of this summer's Blast, making it four wins from four, as they travel to Durham on Saturday.
"The beauty with Boof [Darren Lehmann] and skipper [David] Willey, you don't get too far ahead of yourselves. We're in a good space at the moment," Lynn told BBC Radio Northampton.
"I personally have got a special bond with Boof, I know how he plays his cricket. The 1%-ers, we're getting the luck of the bounce - that happens in T20 cricket."

Lynn has returned to the County Ground for this season's Blast after initially playing short-form cricket for the Steelbacks in 2022 and 2023.
Last year, Lynn turned out for Hampshire and his 108 not out for the Hawks was instrumental in knocking out the Steelbacks at the semi-final stage of the Blast.
He said: "I feel like I owed the team one. I love playing for this club, it's my third year here now and I've always said – because it is a smaller club and a smaller community – I love beating those bigger counties.
"I take great pride in that. We're competing in those longer formats and it's just a great vibe around the club at the moment.
"We don't take anything for granted. We've started well here, we've got five days off now until we head up now to Durham. We won six from six last year.
"We've still got a big road in front of us and that's important."
