Glamorgan fast bowler Ned Leonard has signed a two-year contract extension to the end of the 2028 season.

The London-born 23-year-old joined Glamorgan on loan from Somerset in August 2024 before making the move permanent that October.

Leonard starred in the 2025 T20 Blast campaign, topping the averages with 20 wickets at an average of 13.9, including a five-wicket haul against his former county.

"The environment here has been brilliant for my development and I'm grateful for the support I've had," Leonard told the Glamorgan website.

Leonard missed the first six Championship games of the current campaign due to a back injury, but has featured in the opening matches of the current T20 Blast.

He is likely to feature across all three formats of the game during the rest of the season, fitness permitting.

Glamorgan head coach Richard Dawson added: "Ned has shown real promise and worked incredibly hard to keep pushing his game forward. He's a talented young fast bowler with a great attitude."
