Hampshire's red ball captain Ben Brown has signed a one-year contract extension.
The deal keeps the 37-year-old at the club until the end of the 2027 season.
Brown, who took over as County Championship skipper in 2025, has scored 3,082 runs with a career-best 165 not out against Surrey in 2024.
So far this season he has scored 470 runs, made five half-centuries and reached three figures against Yorkshire at Headlingley.
As a wicketkeeper he has claimed 200 catches - more than any other Division One keeper since 2022.
In limited overs cricket he has twice helped Hampshire reach the One Day Cup final.
"Since joining the club, Ben has become an integral part of the squad," director of cricket Giles White told the club website.
"He's a fantastic player, and his experience and leadership continue to drive standards within the group.
"He's started the season strongly and will be a key figure for us heading into the business end of the Championship season."
