Israel takes further action over settlement sanctions

The Israeli authorities are taking further action against British and European-linked organisations and individuals in response to the sanctions imposed on goods from settlements in the occupied West Bank. A top safety researcher at Anthropic has warned AI is advancing so quickly he believes there is a greater than 10% chance it "could kill all humans" within the next decade. We speak to our tech reporter. Ukraine's third-biggest city Odesa was meant to decide today whether to back a controversial plan to ban the Russian language in the arts. The vote has now been postponed. It is particularly significant because Odesa is overwhelmingly Russian-speaking. We hear from the city's residents. The Gambia has been experiencing a severe electricity crisis that has triggered widespread public outrage and violent protests across the country, particularly in the capital, Banjul.
