Lawyers for the US death row inmate who survived an execution attempt last week say she has regained consciousness. Christa Pike, who is 50, was taken to hospital in a critical condition after two failed lethal injections in Tennessee. She was sentenced to death 30 years ago for murder. Her legal team claim she's the only person known to have survived a completed execution attempt in the US. We look at yesterday's student-led protests in France. Hundreds of thousands took part in the protests and the high school students were joined by parents, university students and trade unions. We access how the government has handled the protests so far and where it can go to from here. A minute's silence has been held across Israel to mark the third anniversary of the October 7th attack, when more than 1,200 people were killed and 251 other taken hostage in a Hamas-led offensive launched from Gaza. In response Israel launched a military offensive in Gaza displacing more than a million people and killing tens of thousands.
