This week marks the fifth anniversary of the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan. Since then life has changed hugely and particularly for women. Women and girls over 12 have been barred from education, and 'morality laws' mean women have lost dozens of rights, including what they can wear and how they interact with men. Parts of Europe are experiencing another heatwave with more than 135 million people set to endure temperatures over 35C (95F). France, Italy, Spain and Britain are likely to see the highest temperatures. And Ebola has been detected in another province in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
