Israel deploying hundreds of troops to West Bank

Newsday

Available for 29 days

The Israeli military says it's deploying an additional battalion to the occupied West Bank after failing to dislodge Israeli settlers who've trapped two Palestinian families in their homes since Sunday. The IDF said they would bolster troops attempting to deal with settler attacks and provocations. The World Health Organisation has warned that the current strain of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo is to become the deadliest on record. And concern grows over the health of Ugandan opposition leader Kizza Besigye. Presenters: James Copnall and Catherine Byaruhanga.
