Powerful earthquakes strike Venezuela

A state of emergency has been declared in Venezuela after twin earthquakes hit the country. The interim President has offered her condolences to the families of those killed without giving any causalty figures. An unprecedented heatwave affecting much of western Europe in the last couple of days has seen a series of all time temperature highs. More than ninety million people are grappling with the punishing temperatures, with records being broken in France, Spain and Britain. And we report on the World Cup Football tournament.
