Newsday

Available for 29 days

On 8th April, Israel launched a wave of strikes against Lebanon hitting 100 targets in 10 minutes. According to the Lebanese authorities, more than 300 people, among them children, were killed on what has become known as 'Black Wednesday'. Israel says it was targeting Hezbollah, the Lebanese militia backed by Iran which has launched attacks against Israel. The BBC pieces together what happened on that deadly day. Donald Trump says the US operation to guide stranded vessels through the Stait of Hormuz has been paused for a short period of time. He said "Project Freedom" would be halted by mutual agreement because "great progress" had been made toward a deal with Iran. And the United Nations tell us about their concerns about helping those most in need in Somalia. Presenters: James Copnall and Anne Soy.
