Newsday

Available for 27 days

The US says it's destroyers have entered the strait of Hormuz and that several small Iranian boast have been destroyed. Iran says it has hit a US ship , while it has launched a wave of missiles across the gulf at the United Arab Emirates. Neither side has officially called off the ceasefire, but since President Trump launched what he called Project Freedom, to free up trapped shipping, the two sides have moved back towards military confrontation. Further west, the ceasefire between Israel in Lebanon is looking even less secure. The authorities in Beirut say that more than one hundred people have been killed in the fighting there since Thursday.
