Newsday

Available for 29 days

The British monarch, King Charles, has delivered speeches to the US Congress and at a White House state dinner. His visit comes as the US marks its 250th anniversary of independence but coincides with a tense time in relations between the two nations. He hailed the importance of alliances with the US in a '"contested world'. The former FBI director James Comey has been charged over a social media post which the Trump administration asserts threatened the president's life. It marks the second attempt to indict James Comey within the space of a year. And we look at the ecological damage caused by a Ukrainian attack at a Russian oil refinery in the city of Tuapse, the the third attack on the Black Sea port in less than two weeks.
