Halloween Swap Shops: Giving costumes a second life in Cumbria
Available for over a year
Halloween costumes are getting a second outing thanks to a growing swap shop scheme at libraries across Cumbria. Cathy Fidler, Library Development Officer with Westmorland and Furness Council, explains how the initiative helps families save money, reduce waste and find the perfect outfit for spooky season. Now in its third year, the scheme is proving increasingly popular, with families able to donate, borrow and exchange costumes at libraries in Barrow, Kendal and Penrith.
