Major Sheffield road set for 20mph and cameras

Work to improve safety on Sheffield's Ecclesall Road is expected to begin in January 2027 after £1.42m of government funding was confirmed. The scheme includes a new 20mph speed limit, average speed cameras, upgraded crossings and redesigned junctions on one of the UK's highest-collision urban roads.
