BBC presenter crowned 'world's fastest'

'Turbo' Tim Boswell completed the fastest ever half marathon whilst broadcasting a live radio show, at the Worcester City Runs 2026. Challenged by Olympic running legend Steve Cram, the BBC Hereford & Worcester team rose to the occasion, with Tim Boswell picking up the baton, 'coached' on-air by Malcolm Boyden. Picking up support from across the 13-mile run, he finished in a time of 2:20:20, which more than satisfied Guinness World Records after officials reviewed evidence. Steve Cram joked about exploring the options for a similar record set at a potential future marathon in Worcester, for which Tim didn't decline. Image credit: TWO26
