Schoolchildren across Halton could soon be earning badges for discovering the remarkable history on their doorstep. Inspired by the famous Blue Peter Badge, the new scheme aims to encourage young people to explore Halton's heritage, from its Anglo-Saxon history to the battles and stories of the Cavaliers and Roundheads. Reform Councillor John Davies, who represents Halton Castle ward, explains how the scheme will work and why connecting children with their local history matters.
