Shepshed sprinter competing at Commonwealth Games

Available for over a year

A 26-year-old Paralympic athlete from Leicestershire is in Glasgow for the 2026 Commonwealth Games. Sprinter Thomas Young is from Shepshed. He's a Paralympic Games gold medallist, three-time European champion and a two-time World silver medallist. Thomas is hoping to add another gold medal to his collection in Glasgow, especially after he missed the last games in Birmingham thanks to an injury just two weeks before the competition began. BBC Leicester's Matt Smith went to meet him.
