'Sir Chris Hoy gave me a reason to live'
Available for over a year
Like the cycling legend, Worcestershire's Roger Cliffe was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Now he's following in his tyre tracks with his own two-wheeled extravaganza. Based at Dunston, near Flyford Flavell, Roger will raise money for a new centre in the West Midlands from the charity Maggie's. He says after his own diagnosis, they support his mental health massively, something he wants to help come closer to home. With a book and the 'Tour De 4' cycling challenge, Sir Chris takes people living with late stage cancer and their families on the ride of their lives. The Olympian was diagnosed with stage four cancer in 2024. Roger says reading Chris' book has reignited a fire inside him, at a point when he could have been down and out.
