Worcester's railway arches: Transformed

Need To Know Hereford & Worcester

Available for over a year

Shops, restaurants and even gyms could move in to another 12 units on Farrier Street, Cherry Tree Walk and Infirmary Walk, under new plans from Worcester City Council. Bosses hope that the 'Arches Quarter' could become completely unrecognisable, adding to the current regeneration project that has seen millions of pounds worth of public and private funding, pouring in to the arches between the city centre and the River Severn in recent years. Previously empty arches have been turned in to successful restaurants, bars, art galleries and creative spaces. In 2025, a walkway was opened following the demolition of a takeaway on Foregate Street. Business leaders from Dartside, Arch Rivals, A Rule of Tum and Beautiful Margarita explain why they enjoy calling this part of Worcester home.
