We know that music can have the power to change our moods, patients in hospitals in Southampton and parts of Dorset are also getting to experience how music can improve their health. Teams of musicians from Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra have been leading music-making sessions as well as performances to patients. BBC Radio Solent has been along to one of their sessions at the Alderney Hospital in Poole, and Rick Jackson has been speaking to Hugh Nankivell, an Associate Musician with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
