Available for 29 days

Cerys hosts your Sunday sonic and cultural adventure. It's Bat Week and we're joined by naturalist Chris Packham and Briony Hughes who writes bat poetry. Naturally there will be bats! Chris Packham is an award-winning naturalist, broadcaster, author and conservationist, and one of the UK’s best-known voices on wildlife and environmental issues. He’s joining as his tour World of Wonder: A Planet on the Edge gets underway across the UK. Dr Briony Hughes is a lecturer in creative writing at the Department of English at Royal Holloway, University of London. As an eco-poet, she uses her experiences tracking bats through the Surrey Hills as a means to expand ‘communication’ beyond the human body to create and inspire her poetry. Produced by BBC Audio for BBC Radio 6 Music.
