Should we be drilling for oil and gas in the North Sea? The UK Government has approved production from the Jackdaw gas field. Ministers said the first gas could be produced by the end of this month, helping heat millions of homes. However, environmental campaigners said the decision would hamper efforts to tackle climate change and make "no meaningful difference" to UK energy security. It’s been reported today that the Government’s Energy Secretary is minded to refuse approval for the Rosebank project - which would become one of the biggest oilfields in the North Sea. It’s National Adoption Week, and initial enquiries to adopt in Wales have increased by 10% over the last year. The National Adoption Service for Wales is asking more people to consider adoption when planning their families. However, the need for adoptive families has also grown, with an increase in 11% in the number of children waiting to be adopted. If you’d like to share your adoption story, please get in touch. And have you ever tried an extreme or an unusual sport? One man who has is Glen Penlington, from Knighton in Powys. A five-time British timbersports champion, Glen heading to Germany next week for his first appearance in the World Championship. Glen will join us to explain what timbersports are all about.
