The Conservatives have announced they will develop a missile and drone shield for the UK - if they win the next general election. The party's conference will hear plans to invest 10 billion pounds across a decade in the programme. The Party's Leader, Kemi Badenoch, told BBC Breakfast the programme could be paid for with £1bn earmarked every year for a decade, and pointed to her party having already set out savings in areas such as welfare and net zero.
